Google Shopping Tests New Tab Bar with ‘Super G’ Logo Under Search Bar
Google is now testing a new navigation menu in Google Shopping, with a new tab bar sitting just under the search bar. The experimental layout gives top billing to the “Super G” logo, followed by quick-access tabs titled Search, Nearby, Deals, and For You.
The update was originally noticed by SEO specialist Brodie Clark, who posted the news on X (formerly Twitter) and his SERP Alerts page. According to him, instead of the normal design packed with a standard list of links, the fresh version brings an app-like, minimal tab menu directly customized for Shopping.
Sachin Patel also posted a screenshot of the mobile interface on X, showing how the new tab bar appears on mobile devices.
If widely rolled out, this update may increase user navigation and make browsing through shopping-related searches more intuitive.
