Google Trials ‘AI Mode’ Button on Search Home Page

Google is testing a new approach to highlighting its AI Mode by introducing a standalone “AI Mode” button directly in the Google Search box on its home page. In certain instances, this new button is even taking over the traditional “I’m Feeling Lucky” option.

Earlier, Google had been advertising AI Mode through banners in search results. Now, the firm is making it more prominent by putting a big, clickable button in the search bar itself. 

 The alteration was first observed by Damien over the weekend, who posted screenshots on X (formerly Twitter). By default, the button is gray with the text “AI Mode,” but it turns more vibrant when hovered.
